پیانوی Young Chang Y118 R، پیانوییست که رنگ و طرح برش آن ابتدا توجه شما را جلب میکند؛ ولی فقط کافیست تا مدت کوتاهی با آن بنوازید تا صدای گرم و پرحجم آن به خاطر شما بماند.
این پیانو از چوب اسپروس و فینیش Traditional Mahogany Satin و French Cherry Satin ساخته شده و چوب به کار برده در Sound Board آن، اسپروس شمالی درجه یک است که باعث کیفیت صوتی بی نظیری میشود.
کیبورد این پیانو از اسپروس ساخته شده که کلید های آن با وزن و تعادل استاندارد، نوازندگی راحت تر و لمسی پر شور به شما میدهند.
یکی از نکته های مهم در این پیانو صفحهٔ رزونانس شناور آن میباشد که باعث میشود پیانو نسبت به ابعاد خود، صدایی چندین برابر رساتر و بلند تر تولید کند.
چکش های Y118 R طوری طراحی شده اند که در کمتر از ۱/۲۵۰ ثانیه به سیم ها ضربه بزنند و برای به حداکثر رسیدن کیفیت صوتی و طول عمر، پرس سرد میشوند.
دیزاین این پیانو بر عهدهٔ دل فندریچ بوده که فندریچ، دیزاینر و مدیر سرویس برند های معتبری از جمله Steinway & Sons بوده است. دل فندریچ در سال های اخیر شروع همکاری خود را با Young Chang آغاز کرده و دیزاین های مجدد او روی پیانو های جدید تر این برند، از جمله Y118 R انجام شده است.

These newly designed pianos are noted to have exceptional tonal quality and evenness of touch and sound throughout the entire range of the keyboard. Part of the new design is the unique floating soundboard and direct coupled bass bridge which allows for a much better bass response than most pianos at an even larger size.
All action parts are Maple and all hammers are the cold formed process for better tonal quality and longevity.

Young Chang uses A-Northern Spruce for soundboards, providing excellent tonal quality. The soundboard. back posts, key frame and keyboard used in the Young Chang Edition are made of carefully selected first»class materials. The new rib designs provide more efficient sound board response, improved sustain and better bass to tenor total balance.

Hammers conveying the dynamic expression of the pianist
Hammers are adjusted to strike the strings in less than 1/250 of a second. Hammers are made of maple, walnut and mahogany with Royal George felt and platinum blue or red full underfelt. Hammers are cold pressed to maximize tonal quality and longer life.
Frames cast through the V-Process construction method
According to acoustic theory, piano frames must bear up to 20 tons of string tension. The frame, which also plays a crucial role in the alignment of strings. is produced through the ‘V’ Process. an electrical vacuum-casting method. in the Young Chang foundry.
Rounded cutoff bars
Round cut off bars on lower section of soundboard prevents sound diffusion and optimizes the resonance of the soundboard.
Pin blocks made of 17-layer laminated panel to raise bearing power
The continuity of tone is emphasized when a piano is located in a concert hall or school auditorium. To ensure the bearing stress of tuning pins and maintain tuning stability, Young Chang pin blocks are made of I 7—layer hard maple laminated panel with layers glued at right angles.
Agraffes desined to sustain better tone in Bass Section
Bass agreaffes in the bass section allow for more uniform tone and perfect string allignment thus allowing the pianist to be more expressive.
