این صداگیرهای لاستیکی بزرگ که کل سطح خرک را می‌پوشانند، برای میرایی و کم کردن صدا در حین تمرین ویولن ایده‌آل هستند. این صداگیرها عموما برای اجرای صحنه‌ای استفاده نمی‌شوند و عمدتا برای تمرین استفاده می‌شوند.

Violin Practice Mutes

These larger rubber mutes, called "practice mutes," are meant for sound dampening during practice. Since these mutes cover the entire bridge, they provide much more sound dampening than the standard tourte style mutes. Rubber practice mutes are ideal for anyone who wants to silence their violin for practicing purposes. These mutes are not typically used in a performance setting.
